Harpers Pharmacy collects personal and health information to provide pharmacy services, comply with legal obligations, process Medicare and PBS claims, and ensure continuity of care.

We collect personal and health information directly from you, from prescribers, hospitals, My Health Record systems, Medicare, and electronic prescription services. We may also use personal information for safety recalls, medication reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities.

If required information is not provided, we may be unable to supply medicines or services.

Information may be disclosed to prescribers, Medicare, government agencies, professional advisers (including auditors, insurers, and legal advisers), and service providers (including pharmacy dispensing and IT systems). 

Personal and health information is collected as required or authorised under applicable Commonwealth and State legislation.

We may also collect information through online booking systems, SMS reminder systems, and vaccination booking platforms.

We may collect personal information through our website when you submit forms or make online bookings.

Some service providers may store personal information overseas, including in the United States, Singapore, or Ireland, depending on the service provider used. Reasonable steps are taken to ensure privacy protections equivalent to Australian standards.

We may contact you via SMS, email or telephone regarding prescriptions, reminders, or healthcare services.

We do not use personal information for direct marketing without your consent.
