Can I get weight management support at Harpers Pharmacy?
-v2.png)
Weight management is not one-size-fits-all. Our program starts by understanding you: your health history, your circumstances and what matters most to you. A qualified practitioner assesses your situation and builds a plan around it, and your Harpers Pharmacy team stays alongside you for questions and ongoing support.
Key benefits:
It is a practitioner-led service delivered by telehealth and supported by your pharmacy team. There is no predetermined pathway. Your practitioner is responsible for your clinical assessment and your plan, while our pharmacists help you understand your plan, answer questions and support your progress. Other health professionals may be involved where appropriate.
This service may suit you if you:
Your practitioner will assess whether the program is suitable for you based on your individual health circumstances. It may not be suitable for everyone.
What should I prepare before my consultation?
Have a list of your current medicines, health conditions and allergies ready. Tell the practitioner if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy.
What happens during my consultation?
The practitioner will discuss your health, goals and previous attempts at weight management, and talk through your options privately.
What support is there afterwards?
Our pharmacists can help with questions, education and general health advice, by phone or in store.
Do I need to come into the pharmacy for my consultation?
No. Consultations are held by telehealth. Our team is available in store whenever you need support.
Who is responsible for my plan?
Your practitioner is responsible for your clinical assessment and plan. Our pharmacists support you with education, questions and progress.
Is the plan the same for everyone?
